Description

In conjunction with Mercy Medical Center Redding, Mercy Housing California (MHC) is developing Mercy Oaks Village, comprised of 62 one-bedroom apartments and one two-bedroom management unit. All units are restricted to senior households (head of household age 62 or older) with income less that 50% of the area median income ($17,200 per yr for one person & $19,650 per yr for two persons).  The residents will pay 30% of their income towards rent.  MHC will assign a preference on 41 units for the frail elderly.  The development will consist of a single two and three story structure with an elevator.  The ground floor will include residential apartments as well as management offices and a number of community spaces to serve the social, health and recreational needs of the residents. Mercy Oaks Village offers a safe and secure living environment including "round-the-clock" site staff, and supportive services and programs. Catholic Healthcare West/Golden Umbrella will operate a licensed adult day health care center on site.
